Super Eagles’ defender Sodiq Ismail scored a stunner by nodding home a cross field pass from Junior Nduka in the 68th min to secure hosts Remo Stars a 2-1 win over Moroccan giants AFAR Rabat in a CAF Champions League match up on Sunday.
Earlier in the first half, Ismail had turned provider for Junior Nduka who glanced home Sodiq’s free-kick to put Remo Stars one goal up in the 19th minute before the visitors equalised 5 minutes upon resumption of play in the 2nd half.
The 2nd leg comes up on the 25th of August in Morocco.
