Nigeria has been dealt a crucial blow as the Super Eagles of Nigeria will be without their talisman for the very crucial FIFA world cup 2026 qualifying match with South Africa in Bloemfontein.
Galatasaray of Turkey striker, Victor Osimhen picked up an injury early in the game against Rwanda at home in Uyo and had to be substituted mid way into the game with a shin injury to the left leg.
The injury was initially thought not to be serious and it was hoped that the Super forward was going to be ready on time for the group decider in South Africa but the injury became uncomfortable to the striker in the morning of yesterday, forcing the team to travel without him to the Bafana Bafana game.
The Super Eagles are condemned to winning the match to revive any hope of qualifying for the FIFA 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
