Champions of the 2023/2024 Nigeria Women Football League NWFL premiership season and country’s representatives to the fourth edition of CAF Women’s Champions League Edo Queens Football Club of Benin will on Wednesday July 24th, 2024, know their group opponents in the WAFU-B Inter – clubs play-off.
The Confederation of African Football CAF announced over the weekend that the draws for the 2024 edition of the Women’s Champions League Zonal qualifiers will holds in CAF Headquarters Caro Egypt.
The competition will take place at the Stade Felix Houphouet Boigny and Champroux Stadium Cote D’Ivoire Abidjan. The host country, Inter Abidjan will be seeded in A1 position. Hasaacas Ladies of Ghana who are currently ranted best in WAFU-B, occupy position B1 while pot 1 will face five teams.
Edo Queens would be the fourth Nigerian professional League Women club side to have the country’s Green and White flag hoisted at the continental showpiece The Ancient City based ladies are in top flight preparations for the showdown in Cote D’Ivoire. Being their first appearance in the CAF Champions League WAFU-B qualifiers, Edo State Government have put all logistics in place to ensure that huge success is recorded in the championship.

CECAFA 17th August – 4th September teams are: PVP Buyenzi Burundi, FAD Djibouti CBE FC Ethiopia, Kenya Police Bullets of Kenya, Kawempe Muslim of Uganda, Rayon Sports FC Rwanda, Yei Joint Stars South Sudan, Simba Queens FC of Tanzania and Warriors Queens FC of Zanzibar.
August 16th – 24th will be
UNIFFAC. The teams are
Lekié FF of Cameroon, TP Mazembe FC of DR Congo,
Atlético de Malabo of Equatorial Guinea, and CSM Diables Noirs of Congo.
The COSAFA and WAFU A tournament draw dates will be announced in due course.
The Nigeria contingent to the fiesta Edo Queens Football of Benin are expected to hit Abidjan early next month for the epic battle.
